To celebrate International Fruit Day and promote a healthier diet across the world, we decided to tackle the greatest PR disaster that fruit has ever faced: the calamity of Original Sin. Joking, but not joking. In an era where a poor diet kills more than tobacco and high blood pressure, no wholesome fruit should be forbidden. And who better than the Pope himself to absolve our apples and other fruits? So, we wrote to him. And published the letter in the only newspaper he reads: la Repubblica. Our request to the Supreme Pontiff of the Universal Church was simple: would you consider amending the Bible?
